![]() The Tram ShedAlong the River Walk we come to our fourth destination The Tram Shed, a unique look at tram number 12 and the history of the tram in Whanganui. | ![]() Whanganui Riverboat CentreOnce again we walk along the River Walk we come to the Whanganui Riverboat Centre our fifth destination. Here we take a look at some of the history of the Paddle Steam Boat history on the Whanganui River. | ![]() PS WaimariePS Waimarie is located to the rear of the Whanganui Riverboat Centre on the Whanganui River and is our sixth destination. PS Waimarie is a magnificent and luxurious paddle steam boat and a must see and if available we will take the tour. |
![]() Memorial TowerThe Memorial Tower located on Durie Hill is a short distance away from the PS Waimarie. Our seventh destination, here we will have lunch and look at some spectacular views of our wonderful city from above. | ![]() Durie Hill EvevatorJust to the front of the Memorial Tower is the Durie Hill Elevator, our eight destination. This is where we can also see our amazing city from above. | ![]() Queens ParkThe Sarjeant Gallery at the top of Queens Park is our ninth destination. A place where we can truely appreciate artist locally and internationally. |
![]() Queens ParkOur Museum at the bottom of Queens Park and is our tenth destination. Here we will look at local history including a magnificent array of maori treasures and colonial artifacts. | ![]() CartThis is the Cart In The Heart of our City just a short distance from our museum where we will relax and have a beverage from this fine man and absorb what we have done and talk to locals. | ![]() Virginia LakeOur final destination and Virginia Lake where we will take a stroll around the lake for the remaining afternoon. Here we will feed the ducks, see the bird cage, see the winder gardens and go for a good stroll around the lake to finally end up at the Café where we will reflect what we have done for the day before I drop everyone off and say goodbye. |
